Frequently Asked Questions

What is your online market?

This is an online web store platform that we call the Walla Walla Food Hub, available to all types of buyers, retail and wholesale. You can make a profile, save your credit card or bank account information for eChecks, and order your box weekly. The website is https://www.wallawallafoodhub.com

Where do I sign up?

Create a profile here: https://www.wallawallafoodhub.com/Account/Register

Do I have to sign up for the whole season?

No, you buy one week at a time. When you create a profile, you can opt into the email list to receive notification when the store opens ever week, but you must purchase your box each week.

Is there an order minimum?

We have a $20 box order minimum. If you cannot reach this, we suggest sharing an order with a friend or neighbor. We also have many pantry items that have long shelf life.

What is the ordering window schedule?

Order Monday evening through Wednesday evening for Walla Walla Friday.
Order Friday evening through Monday morning for Richland or Walla Walla Tuesday.

What is the delivery schedule?

Currently, we have pickup available Tuesdays at Richland Highlands Organic Market 3-6pm and 3-5pm at Colville Street Patisserie, and Fridays 3-5pm at Butcher Butcher in Walla Walla. We also do home delivery in Walla Walla area for $5 fee on Fridays, usually arriving between 10am-3pm.

How does payment work?

You can sign up to pay with eCheck or Credit Card. We save the information securely with Authorize.net.

We also accept SNAP benefits, which may be used for any Tuesday or Friday home delivery in Walla Walla/College Place, or in person at the Friday Walla Walla pickup. Select SNAP customer type when creating a profile.

How much of my purchase goes to the farmers?

Credit card and bank fees range from 2-3%. We accept checks in the mail (see above) for credit on your account to help minimize the fees we pay.

Our markup on other producer’s products varies but averages about to about 75% of the dollar goes to the other producers for their products, depending on the crop and the customer type (retail or wholesale).

Can I buy a gift certificate for a friend?

Yes, you can! Purchase credit by emailing us with the name, email and phone number for the person and we’ll send an email with instructions.

Do you offer any discounts or take WIC/Senior checks, or SNAP benefits?

We accept SNAP cards at our Friday Walla Walla pickup location or Tuesday/Friday home delivery routes in Walla Walla and College Place. When creating a profile, register as a SNAP user. You can place your order for Fridays and pay when you pickup your box. SNAP users receive wholesale cost on all items in the store and have a $10 box minimum.

We unfortunately cannot accept WIC/Senior checks, as they are only available at official farmer’s markets.

I made a mistake, can I change my box or cancel it?

You can log back in and change your order up until the deadline. Add new items to your already confirmed order, and you can send yourself a new confirmation email. After the deadline changes are difficult because we have placed order with our producers.

I wanted to buy ___ but I don’t see it listed.

We set inventory on each item depending on what is available. If you don’t see what you are looking for, it is likely sold out or unavailable anymore. We are happy to hear any suggestions or desires for products you’d like us to carry.

Are there other ways we can purchase Hayshaker Farm produce?

Yes, we deliver to Southgate Center Market typically on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Sometimes the product is stocked the next morning. We also sell produce to Blue Mountain Station in Dayton, GWC in Wallowa & Union Counties, LINC Foods in Spokane, and Farmstand Local Foods in Seattle.
